I work within a humanistic approach, drawing from an experiential-person-centred and gestalt framework. This means that I am particularly interested in what is happening in the present-moment and how this moment is shaped and impacted by our past.

I believe that when we can learn to trust our own inner-experience as a guide, we can make choices around what is right for us and follow a more fulfilling path. Within the context of a safe and empathic relationship, I will encourage you to be curious about how you interpret your physical feelings and emotions, in order that you can start to understand your ‘inner-language’ and learn to trust this as a guide to what is right for you.

I have completed counselling training at several institutions including the University of Brighton and the University of Chichester. I am a trained bereavement counsellor and am ASIST trained (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
I believe strongly that counselling should be accessible to all and so, in addition to my private practice, I also work at local, low-cost counselling agency and registered charity, As You Are. As part of my commitment, I also offer a limited number of low-cost spaces within my own practice.

I have trained and worked as a specialist bereavement counsellor with the national charity Cruse Bereavement Care. I also worked in their emergency disaster response team, supporting survivors of national disasters.

I have worked supporting the homeless in Brighton and Hove. I was part of a specialist outreach team, providing welfare, safeguarding and risk assessment to those finding themselves homeless in Brighton and Hove.

In my professional life, and before beginning my own counselling journey, I worked in a number of roles in sales and marketing, management and business consultancy.
